STATES AND COUNTRIES
The random shape of a state or country becomes a familiar image that sounds like the name of a state/country. New York becomes a familiar stork. Morocco becomes a maraca. Students connect the dots to complete the images of a stork and a maraca. |

CAPITALS
Capitals are presented
by adding a second image which
sounds like the name of the capital.
Albany becomes all bunnies.
Rabat becomes a robot.
A short sentence makes the connection.
Students circle the object and fill in the blanks.
"The stork scared all the bunnies."
